I Played Alto’s Odyssey on iPhone and It’s Awesome
Unless yous've been living nether a rock, you lot know about Alto'southward Run a risk — the cute snowboarding game with a soundtrack that'south so cute and well arranged information technology's almost unbelievable. That game has been one of my favorites ever since I was using an iPhone 5s, and I spent hours, weeks, probably months playing that game.
And so dorsum in December 2016, Snowman — the developer backside Alto'due south Chance announced a sequel to the game. The new game, titled Alto'southward Odyssey was to be set in the desert, with a similarly hit design and background score. It was supposed to be released in the summer of 2017, but was unfortunately delayed when Snowman released a argument (in Baronial 2017) maxim "it takes fourth dimension to build things right."
So, when the game finally hit the App Store concluding month, I was pretty excited. Since I'm using a OnePlus five at present, and the game isn't yet out for Android, I had to revive my iPhone 5s from the dead and play the game there. Let me tell you correct now — it was totally worth it.
Alto'south Odyssey is a game that's strikingly similar in concept to the original and that's a great thing. It has simple controls, astonishing gameplay, a graphically aesthetic setting and is somehow still as hard to primary as Alto'southward Take a chance was.
I played it for quite some fourth dimension over the last calendar week and the more than I played, the more I realized what Snowman meant by the line "information technology takes fourth dimension to build things correct." Alto'southward Odyssey took much longer than anticipated, only am I glad information technology did. The game has turned out as close to perfect as ane could expect and exceeded my already ridiculously high expectations.
Unfortunately, the game isn't available on Android still, but for a game this expert, I'm prepared to wait. If you're using an iPhone, I'd advise you go shell out the coin to buy Alto's Odyssey correct now, you won't regret it; and for all the swain Android users out there, just hold on, it'due south coming to Android for sure.
